Examples of Risk Management Programs and Training

  • TechAssure members are problem solvers for their clients – and those customized solutions are shared within the network (while protecting the client’s identity) for the benefit of all members. Although your problem may be unique or a first-of-its-kind issue, the solution will come from the world’s only network of specialists. Furthermore, the unique environment of multiple firms and countries represented yields better, more creative, results than single broker solutions (would you rather have a panel of international experts coordinating on the development of your solutions – or one person or office without access to divergent opinions?).
  • A large warehouse location for a computer equipment reseller had years of history of back injuries and forklift accidents. The new facilities manager brought in a local TechAssure member-broker. After analyzing the claims history, the broker’s team researched and developed state-of-the-art training on both safe lifting techniques and fork lift operation. Claims were cut the first year by over 90%.
  • Another reseller of electronics goods was experiencing high theft-in-transit losses. The TechAssure broker met with the client and mapped the process from packing to customer receipt and identified several weak points in the process that were leading to theft incidents. The customer and broker then met with their transit vendors and changed the process for tracking parcels, as well as changing the bill of lading so the shipper took responsibility when they deviated from the agreed-upon process. Losses dropped over 95%.
  • A large systems integrator with an extensive sales force was pursuing customers in various industries. Negotiating the sales opportunities meant over 50 people were involved with changing terms and conditions in the standard sales contract – and very little quality control to ensure their insurance coverage would apply. The TechAssure broker developed a contract risk management training program for all 50+ people and streamlined the entire process to dramatically reduce one-off changes, improve quality control over changes, and enhance coordination with the insurance program.
